The Client

A mission that grows with
every round played.
Warrior for Life.

Warrior for Life is a military memorial golf initiative built around the TF Heroes mission: connecting the golf community with the stories and sacrifices of America's fallen service members. Kevin Mason leads ambassador outreach across a growing circuit of events.

What started as a single fundraising tournament has grown to three, including two TPC courses. One is tied to Defy Security, a cybersecurity company whose principal jumped in without hesitation. Another is on the West Coast. Every event carries the same mission forward.

The June 1st tournament brought that mission into focus with a headcover that would give every golfer on the course a reason to remember. Not a promotional item. A keepsake built to the standard the mission deserves.

  • 17 stars on the front for Extortion 17

  • Kevin Houston's initials on the large bottom star
  • A small star honoring the service dog who also perished
The standard
  • Italian leather throughout, imported
  • $225 retail value given as a gift, not a giveaway
  • Every design element present for a reason

Why it fits
  • A memorial, not a promotional product

  • The kind of object that makes people proud to carry it

The Process

Every detail
earns its place.

Kevin Mason came with a mission and a name to honor. The collaboration started early, conversations running before 6am on the West Coast. The NSW community provided input on every detail. Nothing was decorative. Nothing was incidental.

01
The Collaboration
Kevin Mason brought the vision to Iliac with a clear direction: a memorial object, not a promotional product. The brief wasn't about branding. It was about building something that honored a life and a mission. Texts started before 6am. The NSW community, Frank, Ryan, and Natty, had input on every element. Iliac brought the craft. Kevin brought the story.
02
The Design
The front carries 17 stars, one for each soul lost on Extortion 17. The back carries 30 gold stars, honoring every U.S. soldier who perished that day. Each count is intentional. Neither is decorative. The design was built around these numbers before anything else was decided.
03
The Details
One large star holds Kevin Houston's initials. A smaller star honors the service dog lost alongside the crew. Italian leather throughout. Every stitch a deliberate choice. At $225 retail, this is not a giveaway. It is a gift worth keeping, and one worth explaining to anyone who asks about it.
04
The Gift
On June 1st, every golfer at the Warrior for Life tournament received one. The same headcover goes to tournaments at TPC courses across the country, carried by Iliac ambassadors tasked with moving the mission forward. One event became three. One headcover became a reason to keep the conversation going at every course it reaches.

In His Own Words

Every star on this headcover has a name behind it.

Kevin Mason sat down to share what this headcover means and why the Warrior for Life mission keeps growing. One tournament became three. One headcover became a memorial that every golfer carries with them long after the round ends.
